Photo by Jeremy Dillon 23rd Annual VBA Tax Practitioners' Roundtable Tis required program for attorneys who agree to accept capital cases continues to draw increasing participation. Registrations have risen from 247 in 2010 to 290 in 2012. Sponsored by the VBA Criminal Law Section, the workshop provided 10.5 MCLE Credit hours (1 Ethics) of programming. A generous grant from the Virginia Law Foundation made possible the annual workshop, this year at the Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa. n Discussion among the nearly 40 registrants at this half-day event in Charlottesville centered on local assessment and collection activities, as well as statewide taxation updates and developments. Participants could earn up to 4 MCLE Credit hours. Eighth Annual Virginia Health Care Practitioners' Roundtable Among the 80 attendees, many appreciated a presentation on "Health Law Developments and Health Reform: Te View from Washington, D.C.," by Peter Leibold. One survey respondent said the program led by the executive vice president and CEO of the American Health Lawyers Association, "was one of the best I have experienced in 30 years of practice."
